The eye is designed to perceive information transmitted by light, but light and its neighboring wavebands, ultraviolet and infrared radiation, may also cause eye disease. We study the toxic effects of light and ultraviolet and infrared radiation, on the eye. We also investigate possibilities to use these wavebands to diagnose eye disease.
